WHAT IS A CULT?

Let me just say, those I consider in a cult, consider me in a cult!:) But let me share my view on this...

As a Christian I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. In that body of work I believe there is a core, 'orthodox' teaching. This central, indisputable teaching is as follows: God became man, Jesus Christ, died and rose again, and gives us eternal life through faith in Him.
 
This is hard to get one's head around! How can Jesus Christ be one with the Father if He prayed to the Father? And yet prophecies said this is who the 'Savior' would be (Isaiah 7:14; 9:1-7), and who Jesus claimed to be. (John 8:58; 10:30; 14: John 14:7,10-11) This is the 'mystery', the unfathomable truth, regarding Jesus, the Father, the Holy Spirit. It is a oneness that is beyond us, a distinction that is beyond us. It is, however, what the Scriptures teach start to finish, and what is contended for by all writers in the New Testament. (Colossians 1:15-20; 2:9; Hebrews 1:3, and on and on!)
 
A key verse here is 1 John 2:22, where John says that anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ, is a liar... so who was this 'Christ' that Jesus was meant to be, had to be in order to be the real deal? It was and is God incarnate, in the flesh.
 
The message is even more amazing than just WHO Jesus truly is. Now knowing and accepting that He is Lord, Jesus pours out Himself into you and me! This is the 'mystery of God revealed', i.e. 'Christ in you!' (Colossians 1:27)
 
So the fullness of God in Christ, and the fullness of Christ in you - all by simply believing on him.

Any message other than this message, is not Biblical. Any religion built on any 'gospel' other than this, may indeed be religious, wealthy and impressive, but is not ‘sound’.
 
I ask people, 'What is your message if you could not tell me what church you belong to, or what church I should belong to?'
