Ever wish you could start over? Go back in time and take a different road? Do you ever wonder when it was, where it was, you lost your true self? Jesus – ‘God with us’ – said he was a door to a new life. He literally said: ‘I am the door, and anyone who comes through me will be saved.’’ (John 10:9)
 
Are you looking for that door to new life? Do you want to start over?
There are some surface things that could probably change, no mystery there: relationships, people, kindness, activity, maybe a pet? But that comes and goes. There is a much deeper place in your heart, your soul, where only God can access, only God can fill. And it is here – between you and God – that the chasm of loneliness can be filled for evermore.

Jesus hid his glory from the wealthy and proud, and revealed his glory to the lowly and humble. These ‘ways’ of Christ frustrated his own brothers, his family. Once they said to him:
 ‘No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Show yourself to the world.’ (John 7:4) Jesus did not act in a way to become a public figure, because he did not want to become a public figure. That’s a status and a type of power that belongs to a worldly kingdom; Jesus said, ‘My kingdom is not of this world.’ (John 18:36)

​Terri’s cancer had returned. I had the honor of meeting weekly with Terri to talk about faith, about Jesus, life here and life to come. Our times together were the highlight of my week, lasted just over a year, and then Terri went to be with the Lord.
